I spent my summer researching Lea Grundig, a German printmaker who lived and worked in Dresden from the 1920s through the 1970s. I read through her papers at the Akademie der Kuenste and am going to work on an article on her print series Under the SwastikaI also had the chance to visit Documenta 13 while in the fatherland. You can read posts on my trip on my Glasstire blog as well as a few reviews on Box 13’s summer exhibitions, David Aylsworth, Marcelyn McNeill, and interviews with Sasha Dela and Marina Zurkow.
