I spent my summer researching Lea Grundig, a German printmaker who lived and worked in Dresden from the 1920s through the 1970s. I read through her papers at the Akademie der Kuenste and am going to work on an article on her print series Under the Swastika. I also had the chance to visit Documenta 13 while in the fatherland. You can read posts on my trip on my Glasstire blog as well as a few reviews on Box 13′s summer exhibitions, David Aylsworth, Marcelyn McNeill, and interviews with Sasha Dela and Marina Zurkow.
